Dried Flower Wreath workshop

I’ve been dying to tell you about a wonderful morning my Mama and I had last week.

A workshop run by Liz at the Cotswold Posy Patch, we were welcomed with hot drinks and delicious cookies, which were soon replenished with yummy cakes.

We bound a wire base with raffia and wove sea lavender in and out… whilst learning about Liz’s fascinating local Cheltenham business.

We chose from a vast array of dried flowers. Every colour, every shape and every size. Mostly grown and dried by Liz herself.

I felt cosy and Autumnal so I chose hot pinks and burnt oranges, with a splash of pearly white and a dash of purple….

…and spent a glorious morning perfecting a wreath for my front door - a warm splash of colour on a blustery wet day.

I could have whiled away hours, adding, tweaking, positioning and trimming,

whilst Pip the friendly house rabbit thumped around the carpet, nestling our legs.

Combined with making the most beautiful dried flower wreaths, learning wonderful skills from Liz, chatting about gardening and growing flowers….he was the sweetest icing on the cake.
